Laid-back in Hossegor

Clean fun-surf and nice warm weather - to describe the last days here in Hossegor in few words. Every morning we can rely on clean offshore conditions with surf between 2 and 5 feet. Occasionally we meet some ASP pros who are hanging around here waiting for the Mundaka contest beginning soon. Due to the warm weather normally in the afternoon the Onshores kick in - so it's enough time to relax, go shopping, and check out the bars and restaurants. Yesterday was an exception - and we spent the early evening in the water in Anglet in clean conditions.

Contest-fever in SW France - and the surf delivers

Hossegor is crowded with surf enthusiats while the pros are in town for the Quik Pro.
With a nice medium sized swell running the contest was placed on hold yesterday and the grommets attacked at the King of the Groms.
Believe it or notmost of you would be lucky if you could do turns like the groms. See some pics.

Finish for today

After surf beer

Yesterday Quik pulled out their wallet for a big party in the Cafe de Paris – live band and the whole stuff. It was crowded with groupies – but unfortunately for them no pros in sight.

Summer Sessions

Some windy Summer Sessions went off in the last weeks.
Meantime my beloved Thinkpad went to hell - so it was difficult to update the blog.
See a compilation of some pics of the last sessions.

Stormy but fun

The kiters rip these days ...

Evening gold

To kick off the fall season we check out Southwest France next week - visiting the CTs and hopefully charging some clean swells.
Expect frequent updates here.
